Hello from Austin, TX!

I just bought my first drone today! I found a never used Mavic Air 2 with the fly more kit, protective hard case, AND a smart controller for only $750 on Craigslist. I was pretty much sold on getting a mini2 until this deal popped up. Spent this evening getting everything set up. Will make my maiden flight tomorrow. Praying that I don't crash and burn my first time out.

I'm looking forward to learning alot in this forum!

Thank you all for the warm welcome! Sorry I am just now replying, but my maiden voyage went pretty well! Only one minor crash. Here is what happened...I was flying outside. Pretty tame stuff. Just getting the feel for the controls, speed, maneuverability, etc. I tried out sport mode a bit, too. Man, this thing is fast!!! Then, I slowly flew the drone into my garage to land it. All of a sudden it jolted hard right and crashed into a shelving unit. My theory is that when I flew it into the garage, it lost its GPS connections and had no idea where it was, so it lost its ability to keep a stable position. Is my assumption correct? Lesson learned...If I start flying it outside, I will keep it outside.

Welcome to the forum from the land of Oz. Hope there wasn’t any damage. Loss of GPS is a bugger, it virtually puts the drone into sports mode which requires a bit more finesse on the controls. Look forward to your input to the forum.

Thanks for your reply. Thankfully, no damage!! I have had it out since then and it appears to be flying just fine.
