Hi all
I'm fairly new to flying my MP. I have about an hour flight time. I have a pet peeve with this forum already, and that is the 'date of birth' requirement to sign up. HELLOOOOO!!!! In this day and age, that is a prime part of what is necessary to steal your identity. I will assume that there must be some valid reason for the administrators to know my approximate age, but NOT DOWN TO THE DAY! Rather, having you select from an age group would be better IMNSO.
Anyway, now that I am off my soapbox, we can get acquainted. I'm old enough that I am collecting Social Security, I guess that I caught the bug late in life. As a kid, I had a gas engine plane that I flew with 2 strings. That was okay, but a lot of problems. Last summer, I watched practice for some RC jet plane races. I was blown away. They looked, sounded and flew just like the big ones. I was hooked, but couldn't afford anything like that. I bought a cheap drone for about $50, that was fun, but way too hard to control. Next, I bought a Phantom 3. First day out, it did a fly away and crashed. I recovered it, but the damage was bad enough that I sold it for parts. I was told that they just don't have much range. But before it flew away, I was very happy with how it moved, hovered and everything else. Next, I did some research, and bought the Mavic Pro. I'm pickled tink with it, as my brother used to say.
Best regards,
Bentbrent
