Good evening Steven.

I'm just down the road from you near the airport.
Any suggestions on good places to fly around Manchester?
Steven - Hi! Just this minute joined this forum, so hello everyone! I'm a newbie owner of a Mavic pro and love it! I've been asked if I could take some footage and photos at Heaton Park, as it's one of their favourite places to spend leisure time etc. They want to be able to get a couple of the photos framed for their walls around their house etc. I'm new to the legality of it all but after doing quite a bit of reading and research I'm beginning to think it's a forbidden hobby just about anywhere! So, strictly speaking, am I allowed to fly my drone in Heaton Park? Do I need to get permission from anyone before I do? There seems to be a few bits of footage of HP on YouTube but of course I've no idea whether they did it with permission or just chose a quiet day to do it regardless. I live south of Manchester Airport so I'm also on the lookout for good, safe, worry-free place to go and fly this wonderful piece of kit! Sorry for the long post, and TIA for any guidance/advice etc. Cheers, ChrisStill on the lookout for places, I have spent my first few flights local to me whilst I get a feel for the MP. My list of places to go include Peel tower in Bury, Rivington reservoir, Winter hill ( but think the radio mast will be an issue ) Heaton Park.
