Hello from Switzerland

I used to fly and build FPV racing drones, small and standard sized but somehow fell out of love with this hobby, I just wasn't flying anymore. Then I was looking for a "selfie" drone to make some aerials during our upcoming holidays and quickly had to realize that I will not be satisfied with the limitations of the cams they come with, most delivering a picture not better than what I see in my FPV googles.

So I did some digging and all arrows were pointing towards Mavic. Spark wasn't much better on the optical side so I decided to get me the Mavic Air - and boy am I excited about this incredible piece of technology. I've never seen such a well engineered drone setup and never flew a drone with such peace of mind. It's rather a flying camera than a drone compared to what I was used to but it opens up new possibilities completely unachievable with my GoPro mounted FPV drones. If I need some adrenaline kick I can still switch to sports mode - which is suprisingly exciting - but I'm mostly thinking now about locations I want to go and how to shoot them.

For me it's a new hobby and I still have to learn a lot, which is one of the reasons why I joined this forum. Looking forward to discover what the experts here have to offer
