Hello

Welcome from a short ways south of you. As already suggested: register with the CAA, get your GBR-OP, print it out on a clear plastic Dymo label and stick it to the top of your new drone. As long as you stick to Open Category A3 sub-category flights (away from buildings and people) you're then hot to trot.

it's actually the Mavic 3 Pro I've ordered
Easy to fix...

Below is the link to all of the downloads offered by DJI for the Mavic 3 Pro, including the User Manual.

After you read the Manual, read it again, you will be surprised what you missed the first time and you will be better prepared for that first "scary moment…"

Mrktn, thanks for the welcome and the advice - it's good to know that the A2 CoC may not be necessary - I'll look further into the Article 16 route. With regards to the FPV membership, would you recomend the bronze or silver membership?

I've just ordered a Mavic 3 Pro Fly More Combo from WEX - I was going to hold out for the Pro 4 but I think the cameras on the 3 will be more than adequate for my ability.

Sorry I missed this. I’m a bronze member. Only difference between bronze and silver is a membership card. I can get one of those any time.

Public liability insurance covers you outside of the UK.

Yes, plenty to learn and get your teeth into with a high end drone like the Mavic 3 Pro
