I was unaware at the time of just how many wires there are above and around me that showed up in the flight path images that you obtained from my files. do you think that the AC can get interference from them?

No ..the wires aren't going to have any effect at all.
But even if they did , the worst it could do would be to swamp your control signal and initiate RTH.

Do you think if this ever happened to me again, I should turn of my controller and restart it to try and get it to reconnect and regain control

It looks like the disconnection was due to software glitch. Yes, I will take the chance by resetting the control and perhaps the app also. Actually you may try doing so in a safe environment.
