Checking in from LA/SD area.
I'm a "recently passed" sUAS pilot to fly commercially for the company I work for. Mainly aerial topography and volumetrics for use in our mines.
We purchased a Sensefly eBee Plus fixed wing that's due to arrive in a couple weeks, that's for the big dog jobs. I also just ordered a Mavic Pro to work with and see if I can get some decent data from it as well for use in the smaller sites. Kind of excited!
The hard part in all this wasn't learning to fly or the Part 107 test, it was figuring out the airspace and authorizations into restricted airspace at all the sites we will fly. It's insane! Out of the 30 or so sites, maybe 5 have regular G class airspace and no airports near by...
Anyways, just wanted to say hello.
