Hi there. New here and have had my Mavic Air for a couple of weeks. I'm in the West of Scotland and very lucky to be living in a place where I can go walking in woods or mountains and not see a single person!
I'm not going to be short of places to fly. I'm loving it so far.
We have a sailing boat and my big hope is that before too long I can fly and land confidently from the boat. There are a lot of wires and ropes to hit!
Any advice / recommendations to keep safe over water? There's an awful lot of it around here.
Cheers
Andrew

Don't fly close to the surface of the water unless you can clearly see the Mavic Air with your eyes. And make sure you have plenty of battery power available so you can safely make it back to the home point in time. You don't want your Mavic Air auto landing into the water when the battery reaches the critically low level.

Good points. Thanks. I need to practise catching too.

Hi,
I have seen on Youtube an additional polystyren landing balls to install
.
In emergency case it can at least prevent your MA to sink. But it requires a stable water surface not to turn upside down.

The best is not to land in water Thumbswayup

Hi there. I watched that video too and I've ordered a set. I've got crash cover so the important thing is to recover it if the worst happens.
Cheers.
