Hi,

I’m Dennis, I’m 26 for 21 years now, so still young! I’m living in the Netherlands. I fly drones for 10-11 years now.

I’ve had the whole Mavic serie Mavic 1, 2, 3 and now the the 4.

I started taking photos in the beginning, but always when I was flying from point A to B, I recorded the flight because you never now what you capture. After years of flying I started to edit the footage I had and I kind of liked it (the editing)..

2,5 years ago I decided to start with video and still like that a lot. I also film with my handheld camera for the variation in the video. My main goal is filming for our own memories. I’m married, we don’t have children so we try to travel as much as possible..

Currently editing the footage from our trip to Thailand last October, next trip Iceland (again)

I see that most of the members are based in the USA. We were in New York last year, unfortunately you aren’t allowed to fly over there if you don’t have all the papers. Our trip to New York was in our top 5.. Even saw there northern lights there..

How do I get my own location on that map?

Thanks so much! 🙏🏻

True, but in my opinion was the upgrade from the 2 -> M3C the most disappointing upgrade because the camera didn’t get that beter, and the 168mm sucks..

The M4P makes me really happy. (Mostly because of the quality of the 70mm and the 168mm, and the POI (tracking) that’s really a step forward.

True, but I would prize any of those models🤣😂

When you joined you filled out the various entries and one of the entries is your location… The Map is a Google Map and One issue I see if that you don’t know what country you in… You wrote "The Netherlands…" I am sorry, but your countries' name is the "Netherlands…" without the "The…"

I am guessing that Google Maps has no reference for "The Netherlands" and probably "Bit Bucketed" your location…

So, I would advise you to correct your location in your profile. Profile, Account Details, Location… "Harderwijk, Netherlands"

Additionally, ensure that in Profile, Preferences, Privacy Options, that "Opt Out Of Members Map" is Not Checked…

Finally, after you fix your location and ensure that you have not optted out, log off and then log back on and go look for your Location Pin. Sometimes, Google maps does not always hit the spot…

Good Luck!

The country name is “The Netherlands”, just Google it, ask AI, whatever..

I updated my location without “The”, and let’s see if if that helps. 😊

I am going to say that we have to agree to disagree… the expression, "the Netherlands" is a colloquial expression that is has fallen into common usage… Name of your country is "Koninkrijk der Nederlanden" in Dutch; which loosely translates to "the Kingdom of the Netherlands". "The Netherlands" is the common, but less formal, English name for the country.

I did Google a lot and even went to Offical web site fore your government…

and they never refer to your country with a capital "T" in the word "the…

Google maps also uses the word "Netherlands" to name your country…

And this is the Google AI reference…

But, all in all, I hope you do find your pin and you might also DM some of the members who do have pins already in your country and ask them what they put for a location when they signed up…
