Welcome from Northampton, same - I'm new, had it about a month now I guess but it was only last weekend I really started to take it out and even start to fly it properly, I got the Mavic Pro - my advice is not to rush, I still do a test flight, often only lasting 5 minutes in beginner mode just to try and make sure it knows its home point is not where I last flew it. It stays in the air with ease so get it up there - then the only thing to worry about is birds though I fly a lot along the river Nene and Grendon lakes and at present it is absolutely teeming with birds, I mean the lakes are squawking with thousands of birds, the river absolutely teeming with raptors - buzzards, kites, hawks, and you can add to that swans, geese, ducks and a million more but so far so good. I find it easier to fly very early morning - the landscape looks spectacular at sunrise, with mist over the fields, rivers, lakes and ponds but also the winds are almost non existent AND its easier to see - the sun can be very blinding during the day. And don't fly in even very fine, very light rain, it all gets very wet however fine and light it is.HiYES IM NEW TO DRONES SO WILL BE LOOKING FOR GOOD ADVICE
