Yesterday I had the first opportunity to fly in high winds.
Wind was around 12 m/sec = 22 kn = 6 Bft
Gusts were around 17 m/sec = 32 kn = 7 Bft
Absolutely amazing how the Mavic handled the wind!! Sport-Mode of course - otherwise not possible. Also I had the floats/pool-noodles on, so it was extra difficult. I wonder how RTH might work in these conditions. Will test it at some point.
Still I had not enough confidence to fly over the water (waiting for the Getterback to be delivered) - will practice more, but it looks very promising. Looking forward to shoot some nice windsurfing this summer.
