Not exactly news. We’ve been using the weighted Hoodman 5’ landing pad under an Inspire 2 for about 4 years, and they weren’t a new product even then! It is a great pad for larger commercial drones…
Edit: The OP’s post shows the 6+ years old product that is 5 feet in diameter, but Hoodman now has a completely different new product of 21 inches.

I have fishing weights (3 oz) attached to the loops on my landing pad and it stays where I put it even in 20 mph wind.
I believe I have 3 loops on my landing pad and I wrapped/taped them with D-cell batteries.
