How did the Mavic get its name?

I'm wondering how DJI came up with the Mavic name? Especially how the name didn't run afoul of the Mavic bicycle components company that's been around much longer than the drone.

It is a rather strange name for English speakers considering most of DJI's other drones are English words (except the Tello which isnt DJI anyway).

Just done a quick run around Google, and I'm sure it deserves more, but it's an interesting name derived from a character which has roots in Chinese, Japanese and Korean ... there appears to be something to do with 'Control' associated with it:
