Last week on the Gulf coast beach....... we were surf fishing around 9pm when an obvious drone of some kind was flying some distance off the beach in a parallel flight path. Don't know how far because of the loud surf.With binoculars could see the lights blinking. Every now and then, the operator would activate a green Lazer that was very impressive in the black sky. He put on this show for maybe 10 mins then........ Gone
Any ideas? Really cool to see
After talking to a policeman at the convenience store, he thinks one of the high rise condos facing the Gulf was the take off point........??‍

There are astronomy lasers that are pretty compact that can do that.

installed a gun and fired it while hovering... Thanks to his video, it brought unwanted attention to the then Hobby, not just that one video but other pilots as well really gave the FAA no choice but to clamp down...

i think you might have missed the laser craze. many of us have a pretty good collection of red and green lasers and even blue and violet. they can be easily seen in daylight. solid beam for over a mile. i never thought of mounting one to a drone but i guess if i find myself in the middle of nowhere.....
