Rustysteel, I'm not sure I'll have to get the lights down. In the summer the lights are hidden by the leaves. And if I want to take the lights down, I'll just reverse the process. I pulled the lights to the tree by tying a thin polythene line, longer than the height of the tree, from my the free end of the light chain to my M2P. Then I lifted the light chain up and started to circle around the two birches. After two turns I realized that the indicated length of the light chain (40 meters) included 10 meters of plain connecting wire, and I didn't have enough light chain left to fly around the trees, I just flew over the treetop and brought the polythene line back to ground.

Gotta try my Palms next year. That’ll be a Christmas tree I won’t mind decorating. Hope it’s below 80° on Christmas Day. Hopefully 60°, light winds, and clear skies. Yes, Go Fly
