Now that I have a Mavic 4 Pro, I originally thought I should sell my Air 3 since I also have a Mini 4 pro. Normally when I up grade my cameras I tend to sell or donate the older ones, knowing they will just sit. I have always felt that someone should enjoy them if not me. When I got the Mini 4 Pro, I gave my Mini 3 Pro to a family member.
Now with the looming possible inability to buy any more DJI drones in the future here in the US. I am thinking of just keeping it as a backup and maybe buying a Mini 5 Pro, if I can. Then keep the Mini 4 as it's backup. Seems like a lot of drones for me, since they are not my main photo tools. I am just a little concerened about what is coming, next year.
To add to my thought process my drone liabilty coverage will only be for two since adding more to the policy is a huge price increase.
Anybody else hanging on to their older drones now more than in the past?

Have so many have lost count. Like you, I give them away to relatives. Even so now that they are not generally available. However, I could be convinced to sell should a true ban go into place and prices in the aftermarket skyrocket. Drone that I am particularly fond of will never be sold (like the Autel Evo 2 Pro and the Skydio S2+) and some I can't wait to get rid of just as soon as I have thoroughly used them (DJI FPV and Avata 1 and Mini 3 Pro). The Mavic 3 Pro is going to be an excellent drone one day for my brother as soon as he gets his fill of the Mavic 4 Pro I gave him.

You can’t have too many, I think I have ~11 now? With all the pending nonsense I’m not getting rid of any until I know there are easily accessible replacements. Until then I have to be conscious of the effects on my business and if I was to need one after selling it. So it’s buy, stack, and save?mode for me!

My plan is to try to buy the Mini 5 Pro and if successful, sell the mini 4 pro which should be easy in this environment of scarcity. I just cannot keep up with the battery maintenance of more than two drones.(My M3 and Mini 4 Pro).

I’ve got 4 and I still use them! I still have and use the Original Mavic Pro. Number 2 on the list is my Mavic Pro 2 Zoom. My Skydio 2 and Mavic Mini 1 are at the bottom.

I have the parts to build about a dozen mini whoops, there are 7 on the wall. DJI's, theres the air2s the 3 og mavics the shoebox of tellos and their remnants lol. the 3 FPV's that still see plenty of air time despite how darn heavy they are. and the dozen or so air units lying around here, either installed or not. I have an old DJI firewheel hexacopter...thats just a statue now.
Whoops? well there are the cinelogs and all 3 are always ready to go! they are my alltime favorite Drone!! Freestyles? I started with the ROMA, it needs motors,..my homemade 5" botgrinder copy, and the 2 Grinderinos on the build table waiting for hard to get now parts.
I would say the number of Drones you own depend on the inside space your wife gives you.

PERSONALLY I have 3 drones all in one backpack ,air 3s,mini 4 pro and the Neo as well as about 2 hours of battery for each .Each of those has it's own nitch ,I carry the backpack everywhere when I travel ,I find that I am covered .Now considering the Mini 5 pro HOWEVER I might hold out for the DJI mini 360 drone (no more gimbals ) mini 5 looks cool but with what i have covers me ,I am looking forward to a gimbaless drone

Phantom (1st gen. with velcro’d telemetry card that only worked occasionally), Inspire (the most amazing drone but sold all the batteries with the backup I1), Mavic 2 pro, Mavic 2 Enterprise advanced (now sold, only purchased for a specific job) and Mavic 3 Classic, all but the latter hanging on the wall collecting dust. The make for good prompts for story telling.

I have a Air 3S and a Mavic 4 Pro and am waiting to add Mini 5 Pro+ on September 16 or 18. Three drones are enough for me as I have a lot of video and photography equipment. I just purchased a Insta 360 5X and am having a lot of fun with that. I hope that you guys in the US can buy the Mini 5 when it is released. I live Canada so no problem buying drones.

I still have a 2 Phantom 2's. One still flying and a back up in the box. Also 2 Phantom 4 pro 2's. Now 2 Mavic 4 Pro's. I had. 3 but just sold one. I don't like the process of selling so I keep them but 3 was overkill.

As soon as the tariff situation is sorted, I'm thinking about buying/selling one Mavic 4 Pro, what did you not like about the process? Finding a suitable place to sell, listing the drone, the money transaction, dealing with the buyer, shipping the drone?

I have a Mav4 but kept my Mav 3Pro and Mav 3 Have Avata 1 and 2 and Mini 4 Pro. A few older ones Super glad I didn’t sell the older drones. (The orig FOV) oh Neo too. Hard to replace a drone now…

All of the above. The M4P sale wasn't to bad though. I was firm on the price and the buyer agreed. I wasnt desperate to sell, would have added it to the collection. Sold locally, no ebay due to fees.

I’ve got 5 DJI drones and 4 “lesser quality” drones I learned to fly with, and those haven’t seen air in idk how long.
I was just getting ready to sell a couple, so I could upgrade ( again ) to the Mini 4 Pro. And then all this craziness hit. So, I’m holding on to them all now and waiting to see what comes next. I still think a new administration will “fix” this mess.
But we’ll see.
