I bought a Mavic 1 weeks ago! Very excited! Today I was flying and had a weak signal, high wind, then crash at about 80 feet into a field. Now its showing a Compass 1 disconnected. Oh and to top off my expert skills in flying and drone-ary I did not purchase DJI care... :( :( :( As I missed the 48 hour deadline after registering.

Any ideas on a fix?
Will this be covered under any warranty?
what should I do?

Um... well.. you crashed it. Looks like you're going to have to pay to get it repaired. Not much left to say.

Sorry to say it, but you're screwed. I believe the compass is part of the main board. Fortunately, you have a secondary compass. No warranty will cover this, and I don't think you can fix it yourself.

Well if you call having to fix your mistake "screwed" then yeah.
But, sometimes the repairs are a lot less than you might fear, hopefully less than you would've spent on refresh. Whatever it costs remember to deduct the cost of refresh and you'll feel better.
Sorry for your misfortune.

They are seperate. The compass2 is standalone and attaches up front with a quick connector. The compass1 lives down the rear of the top cover and is integrated with the GPS. Neither are on the main board. There are some images over here DIY rear compass cabling fix and DIY rear compass cabling fix

Hopefully your repair is not too costly.

I would prob say send back to DJI and hopefully they will not cost an arm and an leg. but you have a lot invested already.

If you are technically skilled, you can do the repair yourself. Since they are separate components, @Thunderdrones can possibly sell you a new part for it. Actually if it's just disconnected, the cable may just need reattaching inside. If you are willing to risk voiding your warranty, the repair could cost you nothing if you do it yourself.

Try and see if the conector on the back compass module is properly in place. Like logger said its in the back.
