Useful for us all to see - thanks for sharing. I did the UK CAA course but I dont think wind against you coming back was ever mentioned - but I know LOADS of jargon acronyms that are irrelevant to drone flying! I learnt loads from that and how you waste battery fighting the drone when it gives up - I had a taste of that once a few feet from me in the middle of nowhere

NEVER START a distance test with the wind. You were doomed from the start.

If you made it back, it would have been a very very incredible heart pounding video to watch.

It is just unfortuate that it went the other way.

Sorry for your loss. But as they say, experience is the best teacher and I am sure that this will not happen with your next drone.
