how to smoothly exit point of interest

Hi there - is there a way to smoothly exit point of interest? I want to rotate around an object, then in the same shot fluidly and smoothly fly away in one straight direction.

If I hit the red X in point of interest the drone stutters - it briefly stops - eventhough I am toggling it to fly away straight in one direction.

Is there anyway to do this?

Litchi is one I use but I believe drone link and others might accomplish what you want.

Just fly it manually IMHO.
