Is there a way to stop this from automatically compensating in Manual Mode? I normally pre-meter my LE shots with my DSLR before putting in my filter and was thinking about doing the same thing when my filter arrives in a few days. I tried this process out today, without flying of course and using my DSLR 10 stop filter (just covering the lens) and I see the EV compensating which of course changes the actual exposure too.

It is my understanding that the EV values you see in full manual mode only represent how much under or over exposing you currently are. It does not at all affect the actual exposure.

The lock button is a handy tool only really useful in other than full manual mode fixing whatever exposure settings were set by auto at the moment you press “lock”.

This is correct, if it was truly in manual the EV reading is just like a light meter showing what your current [manual] settings will produce.
This is the same with any other camera.

Within DJIGO4 in the upper right hand corner there is a little lock icon that one can click in manual mode to LOCK thier exposure value.

Thanks, but that actually works on Auto, Aperture and Shutter piority modes. Anyway, as others were saying, the EV compensation value is really acting only as a "meter read" for the actual exposure in Manual Mode. Somehow, unlike my DSLR, you can't manually add EV compensation either so you just need to adjust your shutter speed or aperture and ISO, depending on your priority for the shot.

I tried it again using my DSLR filter (just covering the cam holding it by hand) and yes, the EV compensation value (as the meter shows as well) is really acting only as a "meter read" for the actual exposure in Manual Mode.
