I have two different circular polarizers for two different auto focus lenses for my "good" camera. Why do I spend all this money for filters for my fixed focus flying cameras and I have to "rotate" my tiny filters depending on my flight path.
I'm usually pretty smart with this kind of stuff but with this I'm a bit confused. Anyone actually understand the physics of this and why?

You rotate both linear and circular polarizes. Circular is designed for Auto focus lenses. But all polarizers have to be rotated depending on location of sun for best polarization per scene.
Term linear causes confusion.
