I bought these headphones today.
Aftershokz Trekz Air
Blue tooth wireless
They don't go over or in your ears, the "speaker" sits in front of them and you hear through bone conduction. They sound pretty good.
I'd like to say I got them because it's safer (because I usually wear my ear buds while I ride my bike through Brooklyn daily) now I can hear the traffic and whatnot.
Really I'm just fascinated with the concept and wanted to try them.
Anybody else use something like this?

I've used them on the Sydney Harbour bridge climb, well, not that particular set, but a bone conducting comms headset.
Think they said it's the same as various military special forces use for their missions.

I suppose they use them on the bridge climb to keeep regular hearing possible for the climb leaders to impart their knowledge of the bridge history etc, and safety.

It's remarkable how vibrations through the bone there (ours were just behind the ear) provides such a clear understanding.
