Flyer said he has a signed NDA with DJI. He said he gets advanced stuff in this part of the country. The drone I saw had red reflective tape that DJI put on it before he got it.

The controller was far advanced looking than my Mavic 2. I don't follow much anymore, maybe they are all like that now. He was very knowledgeable of all the prev releases. He said this one had a 1" Hasselblad sensor (he also had a Hasselblad SLR hanging around his neck ( with same sensor he said).

The drone looked fatter than my M2P. The camera or sure looked far different - round, flat face where the lenses are, etc. Maybe this is the same as the 4 - don't know.

I don't have much more info than that. Not very useful, I know. Of course, I wanted to take a picture of it, but he said no. He was filming a golf course. He commented that it will never see the light of day in this country due to recent events that you all probably know about.

Maybe it's the new DJI Air 4 drone is my guess. Did the controller look like this? I would have taken a photo myself, did he pay you not to? LOL

People under NDA usually don't violate their NDA by disclosing they are under NDA.
That's not always true. The NDAs that I have signed have not prevented me from saying that I am under an NDA. Letting someone see hardware covered by that NDA would be a violation of that NDA.

And the US is probably the last place a pre-release DJI drone would be floating around. A 1" Hasselblad sensor isn't new. The Mavic 2 Pro has that. The Mini 5 Pro also has a 1" sensor.

Surely you meant a Mavic 5 Pro, and not a Mavic Pro 5?

I had a pair of apple goggles a month before anyone! They were being tested at the place my wife works. I almost purchased them but they were way too expensive. Plus after a few hours the thrill was gone, lol.
We could not mention the product nor even hint at it in conversation, No packaging could leave the house or be discarded until a certain date. We could be sued by Apple and its Army of lawyers. My wife could easily lose her position with the university. If this person had an NDA with DJI I dont think they would have said so either. they are risking a lawsuit.
F.Y.I.
We get a huge discount if they decide to sell us the product...I rarely bite tho.
Oh by the way the biggest rule of all is The product doesnt leave the house and you cannot show it in public or private to anyone.

Maybe you didn't get the details right?
DJI has had 1" sensors in drones since 2016 and the Mavic 2 pro had one in 2018.
The Mavic 3 and Mavic 4 have had 4/3 sensors for a couple of years now .. that's almost twice the size of the 1 inch sensor.
Hasselblad cameras don't have sensors as small as 1".

Not at all useful.
See if you can get some accurate details next time.

As someone who works in the government contracting sector, I've signed many NDA's with the customer as well as with partner companies. You can say you're under NDA if some specific topic comes up in a discussion but you shouldn't even mention/advertise that you're under NDA for that particular topic such as in this case.
