Although I don't use waypoints, currently, I bought Litchi as soon as the Air 2S was supported. Yeah, it was $25, but for someone doing this as a living, it can pay for itself in minutes.

In regards to paying DJI for this functionality, I personally wouldn't do it. They could have easily added waypoints as a Firmware update even. And for $150 I'd definitely decline purchasing it. I readily support the 3rd party developers that have to write all the code and do all of the testing to put the functionality out to the public. But paying the manufacturer to do it? No way. DJI has waypoints already baked into the Hyperlapse mode...they could have included it a fair bit easier as a regular function than the 3rd party guys who have released it...

For example, I question the reasoning of people that complain something costs too much, then buy it. Uh, I guess it didn't really cost too much, after all you judged its value to you to be greater than the money you handed over for it, right?

So what's really going on is you just want someone else's creativity, labor, and material resources for free.

To answer the OP, not worth it to me. I'd just keep adding to my M2P fund, now at $300, to replace my barely used M2P that I foolishly sold planning to eventually replace with an M3.

Then I found out it will never get autonomous waypoints.

After seeing the way waypoints work in skydio 2, I think DJI gave up completely. If they were able to achieve even half of that, people would pay 300 dollar without blinking an eye I’m sure

Even though my $500 Phantom Standard had it and my replacement $1000 Air 2S didn't? Even though hyperlapse waypoints has the base functionality already and all we need to do is enable it for normal flight? (I'm ok with fly-to record waypoints)

I think this drone should have it, but yes, I would pay $150 for this functionality.
