True, the little plastic piece was sitting down in the motor.

On the top of the propeller in the center I noticed a crack going across comma I remove the propeller and noticed one of the tabs that lock and hold it in place was broken off and down inside the motor.

Good question, I don't think it was excessive hours , a couple flights ago I was backing up against some trees I thought my propeller touched one of the branches but when I looked it didn't seem to have caused any damage but then again I was in the shade I must not have seen it. Today when I was indoors I had my kitchen light on and I could see better, the crack showed a lot clearer.
