Ipad mini 4

I'm thinking about upgrading to an Ipad mini 4 for my mavic mini. A larger screen would be nice but being able to read the display at the top of the screen is critical. I've read where the Ipad mini 5 has a black border at the top which is what I want. Can someone who is using the Ipad mini 4 tell me if this model has the same black border at the top?
