Try putting your phone in low power mode and turn on do not disturb. I found this suggestion on YouTube and tried it out yesterday in 95° heat and had no problems.

It would also be tough climbing into the freezer to control the drone.I don't know how you can put the phone in a freezer and use it anyway. Wouldn't the screen get all fogged up by humidity condensation, because it's cooler the the outside temp.
