So excited I got my iPhone x today.
Not excited —-it won’t connect to the controller!
latest firmware on all devices
Plug 7+ and iPad mini in and they work fine
Uninstall app three times refreshed phone reinstalled out re-logged in
I think I’ve tried it all
no joy
I have the same problem with my iphone 8plus and I wrote to them, this is what they answered me

We would like to inform you that iPhone 8 is not yet on the list of recommended devices for Mavic pro.
Our R & D Department is currently working on additional devices to be compatible with the DJI Go 4 App.
Please check the list of compatible and optimized devices for your unit.
