iPhone xs max with mavic pro 2

I just got my mavic pro 2 and my iPhone xs max won't connect to the controller. It's my first mavic, so maybe I'm doing something wrong. Any suggestions? I already tried deleting the app.
Also, are there any good covers? Or will the screen be bright enough that I won't have a problem?

You can run a check on the web to see if your model iphone is compatible, also make sure you have indeed got the correct dji software for your M2P it should be DJI Go 4.
