I'm curious if it's possible to hack the 120-meter height limit on the DJI Mini 4 Pro using some kind of program without activating the Remote ID
for what need remoti id and for what people no want emit remote id?
what means not applicable in poland? not works RID in poland?it's a drone identification system that transmits real-time flight telemetry and some other stuff.
Not applicable in Poland.
thanks broBased on some testing and other comments. The Mini 4 Pro activates RID when you put in a Plus battery and take off. The RID also activates when you use the 249 battery that came with the Mini 3. It works in the Mini 4, but is slightly heavier, so the battery ID activates RID as well (marked BW160 on the case). If you put a Mini 4 Pro 249 battery back in (BW140), it will disable RID after one flight. This is with US specific software. If you want to investigate yourself, the RID broadcast is a WiFi and Bluetooth signal. Use a laptop with the find network box open. When your drone starts transmitting (you must be at least in a hover), it will show up as a WiFi network with the prefix RID....
I certainly hope not. 120 meters is fine with me. Years ago I hacked my Mavic 1 and tried flying it to 1,600 ft. Suddenly I heard the whap whap whap of a helicopter in the distance. It took a loooong time to bring my drone down to 400 ft! Never again!I'm curious if it's possible to hack the 120-meter height limit on the DJI Mini 4 Pro using some kind of program without activating the Remote ID
its mean hard down drone? why? my air 3s fine fly in 1km height. but sometimes i feel its very slow go down. maybe bad air? but normaly it fast at any heightI certainly hope not. 120 meters is fine with me. Agree completely. Apart from that: once you get past 800' everything looks uncannily similar to Google Earth so it's a redundant exercise..... all the shots you might be looking to get already exist.I certainly hope not. 120 meters is fine with me. I would say that it is you who don't know much about drone operations and particularly about legislation over aviation. Different type of aircraft has different limitations in the context. The main reason it exists a height limitation of 120m or 400 feet for amateur drones is to avoid to mixt with bigger aircrafts. That said, most aircraft in general aviation cannot fly lower than 1000 feet AGL when helicopters and power paragliders are limited to 500 feet AGL.Agree completely. And of course, there's the fact that anyone trying to put a sub-250grm mini up to any altitude higher than 400' knows nothing about drones.... or the reasons why there's an altitude limit not only for drones, but for light aircraft as well.
