Is it possible to fly the mavic mini with the gimbal cover attached?

, hello, is it possible to fly the mavic mini with the gimbal cover attached just for line of sight flying to practice?

I don’t think so, it comes up with a warning to remove the cover Before flying it on the screen. Also the gimbal will be trying to correct itself while flying and you could cause some damage to it.

It’s Ill advised. It could damage the gimbal motor. Mine won’t takeoff of the gimbal cannot move freely. Don’t know about the Mini.

do not leave the cover on ,remove it before powering up ,its there to prevent the gimbal from being damaged during transport by locking it in place

To make absolutely sure that I HAVE removed my gimbal cover (vital!!) I have attached a red ribbon to the cover so I can't fail to notice that it is still attached ......

Thank you for the advice and I will be sure in the future to take care of the gimble and not activate aircraft with protector on...gratitude and appreciate your response

I do something similar. I left the cover on once and it definitely didn't like it. It's easy to forget without something to remind you.
