Is the Air 3 goggles compatible?

I have been flying my Mavic Pro Platinum all the time with the white goggles.
I also have the DJI FPV with the Goggles V2. And I fly racing quads and planes with goggles.
With the more modern DJI Mavic 3 Pro or Air 3 you could only fly with goggles when you use the motion controller until now. But that was not what I wanted. So I never bought a new DJI camera drone, again. When I found out by chance that you can fly the Air 3 with goggles and the normal controller (RC 2) I immediately ordered it.
DJI, why did you wait so long to make it right?

This is great, but what is the experience like? Is it worth it, does it really enhance the experience. On the bright side, if I already have the Goggle3 I feel like I'm half way there to get an Avata2.

For me, once I started flying FPV it became almost all my flying. Camera drones are boring for my tastes. Goggles with the Air 3 is okay, but loses it's excitement pretty quickly.
