Is There a Mapping Workaround for Mavic 3 Classic or Mini 4 Pro?

I recently started looking into taking on some mapping jobs. I was disappointed to discover that neither of my current drones seem to be capable of using software like Drone Deploy. I have owned numerous DJI drones, and now it appears that I should have held on to one of the older ones.

I currently own a Mavic 3 Classic and a Mini 4 Pro. Is there a workaround to utilize either of these drones for mapping projects? If not, what is a good option for a used drone that would work well for this without breaking the bank? I obviously need to weigh the potential return on investment before purchasing another drone specifically for this purpose.

Any advice regarding a drone for mapping and which apps are the best and/or most popular would be greatly appreciated!

Since DJI decided not to release an SDK for these drones and other consumer drones, there are no current models suitable for serious mapping.

You would be looking at the Phantom 4 pro (not the + version) or Mavic 2 pro.

No need to purchase a new drone. There is a work-around if you have a Litchi account.

One could use ancient.land to design the mapping mission.

Then use the "Litchi to DJI Fly" converter to convert the mapping mission into one that will work on a DJI Fly drone:

What are the drawbacks to mapping without a mechanical shutter? Can it be overcome?
Do you have to keep under a certain velocity or above a shutter speed to avoid Rolling Shutter distortion?

I did find this article about it. Be interested to hear from any of you that actually are doing mapping jobs with drones that have only electronic shutters.
