Hi, I'm visiting the IoW soon. Anywhere legal to fly a MA2? Preferably a beach. Cheers.
Beautiful!
I can't answer that question, but saw you are new -
Welcome to the forums!!
Cheers ?Welcome to our forum, from Hauptmann in the friendly skies of Texas!
The MA2 is a terrific machine with a great camera. Lots of cool stuff to shoot in the UK. Hope you got the Fly More kit--you'll appreciate those extra batts.
Read the manual (link below), and be conservative at first. Practice using "Find My Drone" (DJI doesn't make it easy). Don't wait until you lose your MA2 before you try to learn under stress in less than ideal conditions. We have over 100,000 members worldwide--including many Brits--to help you advance as a pilot and photographer. Ask for help when you need it. Share your work when you can.
Thanks for joining!

Thanks for the advice PeterHi, I flew at Sandown beach early morning (for dawn, see my video below) late afternoon and evening...basically when there were few people around and no one said a word of objection.
Also went to the monument at the other end of the beach, up on the cliffs, and again, no problems.
Hope that helps, looking forward to seeing your videos.
Take care. Peter

if you google IOW it should give you any restrictions information for drone flying on the island or a phone number to enquire about locations you might want to go to
