Issues connecting a new controller

, but when I hit the little black button on the mavic the LED next to it turns red and when I go to the link settings in the controller and choose "primary" as the frequency option and select OK nothing happens. What am I doing wrong? It seems like a very straightforward process. I am using android with the side USB original cable.

I did, but I did not try method #2 displayed in the video. I will try it out tomorrow I guess.
