Just need quick help on new Mavic

I have flown P3P for a year now using DJI GO app. From what I have been reading, I THOUGHT that I would need a different app, DJI GO4, to run the Mavic. The quick start just says DJI GO. Will the same DJI GO that I run P3P with run the Mavic Pro?

You can use the standard GO app, but DJI recommend the GO4 app in the full manual. Future updates and improvements for the Mavic are more likely to be biased towards GO4.

GO4 is best for the Mavic, especially if your using an Android device. GO works, but DJI is pulling support from it.

I can't speak for Android, but I run both on IOS with no problems.....any Android users may comment.

Related question, because I try to "keep it between the lines" when it comes to drones and apps . . . Can GO4 app run the Phantom 3 Pro safely and reliably? Will it lose any functionality?

The Phantom 3 Pro is only compatible with DJI GO (3).

Much appreciated! I always have to choose GO or GO4 each time on my Note4, depending on which drone I am firing up!
