Lesson learned- extremely hard landing

Well I was doing a great job flying my Mavic down a creek and had my VPS off was about 4 or 5 feet from the water, flew up to 200 feet to avoid trees completely forgot that my VPS was off pull down the stick all the way, next thing I hear was a big thump, my Mavic was on it's side, didn't hurt the camera or the gimbal at all, got lucky on that. got off on two broken propellers.

now I double check everything and I watch as it comes down.

Lucky you never went swimming. Sounds like you had a fright.

Never rely on the VPS, even if it is on. It's there to assist, not to allow recklessness.
