Is it possible to have both auto heading (face towards the next waypoint in the mission), and then specify Focus or Interpolate on a POI?

Still learning, but it seems the only way to turn to a waypoint is to use Custom heading in the mission options. The only problem is that now all your waypoint arrows point to the first POI set. Is that just a visual glitch (until you specify a POI in the actual waypoint), or are they all really pointing to the initial POI?

No, because we don't have a true 3-axis gimbal. The direction your camera is pointing is the heading.

However, you may be confused and really be referring to course, which is independent of heading.

Heading is the compass direction the front of the drone is pointing. Course is the compass direction the drone is moving. The course in a Litchi mission will always be the direction to the next waypoint. However, you can set the heading to anything you want.

"Next Waypoint" and "Focus POI" are just convenient features to set the heading direction for you. However, you can set the heading manually ("Waypoint Defined").

If the direction from one waypoint to the next is North (0deg), and you set the heading for both waypoints to 90, the aircraft will fly sideways due north, pointing the camera due east.

Thank you for the clarification. So are we able to have the camera towards the next waypoint (on course) automatically but have a few waypoint objectives point to POIs? It seems to be either auto or custom only for all waypoints.
