What grade of Lock tight should be used when replacing props?

Blue ones, medium strength.

The only thing I've heard regarding lock-tite is the replacement screws provided with the replacement props already have lock-tite on them. You should not reuse the original screws.

That said I would be looking at blue since red is intended for places where the screws are never going to be removed.

Blue. Just clean the. Old threads prior to applying new blue.

And keep the loctite from contacting the actual prop.

Easiest to use the loctite that comes on a stick(similar to chapstick). This is what's on the original/replacement screws.

I like the chapstick option, well as long as it's not in the medicine drawer, lol.

242 is what your looking for on the bottle or can which is a medium strength

I see a few "loctite" threads. Where is it initially discussed or mentioned. I don't see it in the Prop Manual or the main manual?
