I used to do long range UHF with my quadcopters back in the day. I've been out of the filming drone market for quite some time due to the fun of racing quads.
On my transmitter I used a 433mhz Moxon antenna with a very wide beam and gain of about 5.5dbi. Worked well.
There is one manufacture of a Moxon 2.4ghz antenna by Prodrone (Polish?). Anyone tried one yet?
I have a mavic platinum ordered, but not shipped yet. I've been doing a lot of reading on antenna here on the forums and seems like its FPVLR (used them in the past and they rock) or going boosted is the way to go.
Moxon seems like a good way to go unboosted.
You have to Google prodrone Moxon 2.4 ghz. I cannot access the website at my government computer, blocked.
