Hi there,

New to DJI drones. Wondering whether DJI still support their legacy drones with updates or do they stop after say, 2 years.

Thanks

@Mrktn , its not that they stop per-say but after the firmware has been sorted in the first 6 months or so then they tend to be far and few between ,but occasionally a firmware update will appear, if it relates to a feature that the drone has ,which up to that point ,was not utilised, or the APP changes ,or because a new controller has been added that will control that drone

If the drone has been discontinued for more than 6 months or so, you tend not to see any firmware updates for it. They gave the mini 1 2.7k video capabilities shortly before that time frame after the mini 2 came out, but nothing since then.

So on the consumer side at least, once it's discontinued, don't expect any updates other than with the dji app itself.

Thanks both, at least it’s not bricked after being discontinued, just no longer supported it seems
