Good idea, no use to me personally, but good luck with the app.

Just in case there is anyone like me that had not heard of it before, this software offers a serious Waypoint mission editor. This is far more interesting to me than the Geofencing shown in the YouTube video.

My initial reactions, having only played with the software and not flown, are:
a. looks interesting as a startup
b. clearly, English is a second language for the developer
c. the aircraft controller interface looks simple, but interesting:

The bottom-left box is:
- speed
- height
- distance

The bottom-right box is:
- satellites
- aircraft power
- RC power
- phone power

Just so Im clear, your mapping out the Geo Fence and flying within it it boundaries is that correct ?
How can you be sure you wont go to far and be forced to Auto Land ?

yes, waypoint mission navigation is in the app since almost 2 year, the other geofence functions,i know is more boring, but it's the new one i need to test before release

Yes correct
example, you want to try the drone to an inexperienced friend, you can limit the drone that remains inside a field and does not go on houses or streets, you can even set a minimum height, so you cannot go down too much and hit someone or something

as for the question on autoland .. I did not understand it .. what changes with or without geofence?
the automatic return to home of the drone, managed by firmware, based on the distance / battery level remains active

Thank you ,
Recently we had a client who was flying in Greece and as they flew into the Geo Fence the Drone automatically landed in the Ocean.

DJI - Stated:

They told me if ones gets into a
red zone, then the plane lands almost immediately and nothing can be done to stop it.
It can land everywhere - sea or land. I wanted to film a small island called Vidos.

So this is why I was asking about the Auto Land when you hit the Geo Fence while flying .

ok, now it's clear,
this geofence has nothing to do with the RED / NO flight zone,
you can think of this as the firmware distance limit .. but that is just a circular barrier .. here you can have a complex shape

This is part of the NoFlyZone system, it is supposed to stop you flying into restricted air space, the auto land feature sucks but I think DJI figured it was better than hitting another aircraft.
I have seen a video where the NFZ area was unlocked for 1 hour and the pilot was still in the area after 1 hour (the app gives no warning of time remaining) and he to ditched into the ocean.

I think I remember seeing that video of the guy that had 1 hour and waited to long and it landed in the water. Do all Makes of Drones follow that NO FLY ZONE as someone mentioned Autel did not have the Geo Fence but do they all have the No Fly Zone /
