Bit of a hail-Mary but you could try refreshing the firmware on the RC. Just plug it into your computer and load up DJI Assistant and click Firmware > Refresh. You can also download the RC's 'blackbox' logs, might have some insight into why you're getting connection problems. I'm no expert on these logs so don't know what in 'em and they are encrypted (google to un-encrypt).

Hi all
This is happening to me constantly now. The video signal just drops out with a RTH suggestion. When I land, the video stream comes back for a brief while, then drops again. All the time I still have control over flight, and cameras.
I don't think this is a cable issue. It does exactly the same on wifi. No cables involved.
I'm using a Samsung mini-tablet, and have tried several different cables, and also a different Samsung larger tablet, following the helpful replies on this forum.
Getting a bit despondent now. :-(

Okay... I had the opportunity to try an iPhone 6, plugged into the USB port on the controller. We downloaded the app and it worked perfectly. Also, there was no video lag, which I had all the time on my Samsung tablet. I now have an iPhone 6 on order. Strange how the Samsung tablet worked okay for a few months... 'til the latest Firmware upgrade.
Good luck guys. There seems to be a number of 'remedies' for this problem.
