Hi I took my mini 3 out to fly today and due to high winds I selected return to home but it notified me on the monitor that it was completing a forced landing. I do of know there it has landed and it was showing battery critically low. As I have only just received the mini 3 this was its first flight and I hadn’t selected for the flight logs to be retained so I have no data to refer to regarding current location. I have initiated the time my drone function but the map is showing the location as my home address which is inaccurate. Is there anything else I can do to locate my drone? The image is the only clue I have to the possible location of my drone.

Sorry to hear about your loss unfortunately you will have to go on a search. To be in the air after the battery has gone that low is Unsafe and flying under the 10% mark means the Drone probably isnt gonna make it back if you are very far. Where was the drone when it landed? If you couldnt see it land you were flying illegally. Please pay close attention to the rules and regulations for operating Drones in your area. I hope you find the Drone. keep us posted!

You don't have to select for flight data to be retained.
The flight data is saved by default without you selecting anything.

The answer or enough data to help find it is in your recorded flight data.
You have a couple of options ...

1. Go to DJI Flight Log Viewer | Phantom Help
Follow the instructions there to upload your flight record from your phone or tablet.
That will give you a detailed report on the flight data.
Come back and post a link to the report it provides and someone might be able to analyse it and give you an understanding of the cause of the incident.
or
2. Just post the .txt file here
or
3. If you use Airdata, you can view the flight data on Airdata and post a link for the Airdata report
