Lost signal, no RTH

I was flying around a building trying to return from a short pitcure flight. Battery at 79%, controller at 92%, lost signal, pushed RTH button but nothing happend. Remote RTH keeps beeping but the remote had no signal. I am leaving now to see if someone can help me get it off of the small receiving roof. I sent up the Spark and saw it on the small roof but no one was in the building, maybe closed for the weekend, hope it does not rain.

It's not possible to initiate RTH from the remote controller after the remote controller disconnects from the Mavic.

I though that if it loses signal or disconnects it will RTH as long as it was set from lift off?

It will if you have it in your options set, you can have either RTH, land or hoover

Using the default settings in DJI GO, RTH will be auto initiated three seconds after the remote controller disconnects from the Mavic.

I guess DJI is trying to compete with Roomba

This is all I can say. There is a setting in dji go where you can set your drone to land, rth, or hover when the signal drops.
