+1 for Loc8tor. The 'Find my drone' feature or visual will usually locate your drone to within a few tens of metres and Loc8tor will take over from there.

As a test I got someone to hide the tag in the house, I was outside, picked up a signal and went straight to the drawer where it was hidden.

There is no running costs, the batteries last for ages and they are very cost effective. Just test it now and again.

You could fit my country in Australian deserts. It wouldn't be good times but you could do it.

Seems a good way to solve your population influx btw.

Of course, after not getting permission to trespass first, you found the farmer and reimbursed him for the minor damage to his crop, thus maintaining goodwill for the drone community?

I followed in the tracks of the tractor wherever possible and I’ve seen the farmer since the incident and he hasn’t tried to run me over
