Lucky save after fly-way on the harbor dock.

Here’s a smart idea, don’t fly your drone when your battery is almost dead you’d been getting battery warnings for the last 5 minutes at this point

Your drone was trying to auto land. You are very lucky that it didn’t go for a drink!

The craft has hanged around this location for quite some time and it did not respond to elevator control at all although it was in sport mode. It just stayed level and kept hovering no matter how hard it was pushed.

However, it responded well to rudder control so something is preventing the craft from going forward towards the land. Usually it is due to the craft hitting a geofence but this is just an altitude restriction zone of the Westchester county airport so this should not have happened. Once the craft has backed away, the response to control inputs was fully resumed.

If you can post the .DAT flight log file, may be the reason can be identified as there are more detailed event logs inside. You may follow the first post of this thread to get the .DAT file : Mavic Flight Log Retrieval and Analysis Guide

. Just lost control when about to land. No warning real-time or on the Airdata logs afterwards which I've attached. Something todo with the nearby boat including Fire dept.?? Would appreciate any insight
In future, do not go below 30% battery for safety. You will no doubt rapidly reduce the lifetime of the batteries going this low.
Am glad you recovered successfully though!
