Hi all I use lumafusion for my ipad air m3. Great software in all honesty.

Im filming with my mavic 3 pro and always shoot in DLog. H265 to get the 10bit colour. I've successfully managed to apply the Lut from dji themselves. Now I've just bought a lut pack from an instagram page. 6 luts I think. My question is can I first apply the dji lut then one of the new ones on top? As far as I can see I can only put one user Lut on the footage.

Thanks

I think the professionals would say that with 10 bit D-Log footage from a decent camera like that on the Mavic 3 Pro you have all you need to craft your own look or else why bother with Log in the first place.

To answer your question though the simple answer is try it make good use of Lumafusions strength slider to tone down the effect. I’m colour blind so can’t really trust my own judgement while colour grading so I perhaps put too much faith in luts.

Remember that luts vary a lot in quality and how many ‘points’ of reference they have. Relatively few luts are designed with 10 bit footage in mind. I’ve tried stacking luts in Lumafusion and usually it works fine if you go easy on the lut effect but sometimes the second lut just won’t work, possibly because of an incompatibility in the numbers of points the two luts work on. Often by swapping the order of the luts you can get it to work though.

My two cents worth..
You can add up to five LUT's without 'problem' in Lumafusion (just close the dropdown arrow before adding the next one). Anything more (up to nine LUT's) is accepted. More than nine will be refused..
Having said that, I can't see much of the use of this !
Happy LUTting..

P.S. ..as you might have noticed by the number of responses (or lack of), this is drone user forum and a Lumafusion forum might be a better choice for getting answers.
