Well.
I purchased the ‘ Smart Controller’ about 10days ago and as you know there has been an update for M2 re ‘ Waypoints’
However, it only really works on IOS properly and definitely no download for ‘ Smart Controller’ (as yet)
Well.. I just discovered you can download the ‘Amazon App’ into Smart Controller THEN
Purchase the “Litchi” App (£20 in UK) which I’m doing at this present moment..
Aprently Litch is far better to use & set up for ‘ Waypoints’ and you can do all this without having to even turn in your M2P.
I’ve never used Litchi so I’m sure there are lots of users out there who can set me right with what I’m saying.
Any views or thoughts then let me know please..
Meantime I’m gonna try set this up And try get out to try it out within the next few days.
Weather is wet & snowy hear (Scotland) so bear with me please.

Back when the M2 came out, we were all waiting for DJI to send out an update to the CrystalSky monitor to make it work with the M2. It took them a long time. Someone in South Africa found an unreleased file on the DJI server, shared the link, and we all installed it on our CrystalSky with success. With the release of the Smart Controller, I was personally hoping that DJI would finally make updates to their own equipment a priority. But it looks like that is not the case with iOS updates still being first with the updates. I assume that the smart controller is the same operating system as CrystalSky, that is why I'm making the comparison. They did open the operating system up to allowing third-party apps. And Litchi is a great app that seems to be updated way more frequently than DJIGO4.

They seem to value stability above "latest", which makes sense for their pieces of equipment that used mostly in pro operations.
Release updates to the general public first, wait for issue reports, if no major issue then update the CS.
