today in our normal bright sunny day, i could not see the video screen on my tablet. previously, with the same level of light, i could see the image with out issue. i tried another android device and it was the same. even viewing the video on my PC, looked darker than normal.
I used the same ND8 filter as previously.
is there anything on the aircraft that could cause this? would recalibrating the lens help in any way?
any idea please?
TIA

Recalibrating the lens ??
That's not a thing - there's no way to do that.

Underexposing by 2-3 stops will do that and it's probably what's caused your issue.
Look at your camera data on screen to see if you have accidentally set exposure compensation to underexpose.
If the number under EV is something like -2.0 or -3.0, dial it back to 0.

Thanks. i did check that and EV was set to 0.
however, i will double-check next time.

Underexposure is probably the cause, so you need to look at ALL the settings (ISO, aperture, and shutter speed). The right front wheel on the controller will change aperture or shutter speed depending on whether you are in aperture priority or shutter priority, and it's possible that the settings were changed inadvertently.
